MY MUSIC

the weather always sticks together!!

* I sometimes get an itch to make music. So I go to onlinesequencer.net and I throw notes around trying to get a decent sounding melody.
* I don't usually get great results, but every once in a while I end up with a tune that I think is quite nice.
* So here are the ones I think are good enough to share!

* ending-like tune -(may 2021)

* Called "ending-like tune" cus to me it feels like the ending theme to a videogame.
* Composed the MIDI file in OnlineSequencer and then used SynthFont to use the SNES soundfont.

* ending-like tune_v2 -(jun 2021)

* "ending-like tune"-like. It's the same but it's got an extra piece.
* Recorded directly from OnlineSequencer.

* soundtrack preset 97 -(jul 2021)

* Very short. Uses the MIDI "soundtrack" instrument.

* GB Boss Theme -(dec 2021 / nov 2022)

* Originally called "8-bit boss theme", made using OnlineSequencer's "8-bit" instruments in 2021. Turned it into an actual 8-bit tune for the GameBoy using hUGETracker a year later.

* rascal's theme -(sep 2021 / feb 2023)

game boy rascal

* What if my OC Rascal was in a GB game and had his own theme. Even made some sprites with Piskel to go with the idea.
* Like the previous one, was originally a MIDI.

* untitled -(apr 2023)

* Played around with OnlineSequencer's clean guitar instrument.

* dog on the phone -(may 2023)

dog on the phone

* Inspired by my OC Floof which at this point was only 2 months old.
* Took a different approach to the making of this tune. I relied on audio samples and had the specific MIDI soundfonts I was going to use in mind while composing the melody. Usually they are an afterthought.

* untitled -(jun 2023)

* My favourite of the bunch. Made a couple of days after I had the big final exam at high school. Fittingly, I think it has a cheerful vibe with a somewhat melancholic undertone.
* Uses mostly the SNES soundfont (I was going for a Kirby 3 kinda vibe) and Mario 64's Powerful Percussion.

* midi that i made last night -(jul 2023)

* Went to a medieval-themed fair the day before. At some point a small band played a march beat. Next day I made this.
* The next, next day I posted this on cohost, hence why the title.
* Also: orchestra hits. I love orchestra hits.

* dialtone played on a winnie the pooh toy piano -(sep 2023)

dialtone

* I've had this toy piano since i was really small. I don't think the batteries have been changed in 15 years. Might be why now every button plays a semitone lower.
* A lot of the notes had to be modified in post in Audacity because 1) I can't play piano and 2) the toy is very limited so some notes had to be slowed down or pitched up.
